Intimacy

Intimacy

#Intimacy What a beautiful word. To let someone see your whole beingness, your open wounds and scars. It is a scary place for many. To let others in so deep that all they see is your openness and willingness to stand there, naked, free of judgment, having NOTHING to hide. “Here I am, standing before you, naked and exposed for all to see. I have NOTHING to hide.” To let others see what lies beneath that ever prepared face one puts on every day. To let YOURSELF see YOUR #originalface as it once was before ego took over, before others infiltrated your beingness. This place of intimacy is sacred. Very few experience this kind of intimacy over their lifetime. Most will never experience it. To be accepting of ones own demons is a rarity and to share that...

I need time apart.

I need time apart.

The other night I told Alex I need some time apart from him. Some of you may be thinking, whoa, you said you had a great relationship with him?! I DO!!! This I am finding out is the beauty of how much our relationship has grown. For many years, I dwelled upon this thought that I needed time away from him. And every time the thought came up, I pushed it down, down, down. Down so deep the thought became embedded in me. I never spoke those words to him. I was afraid! Fear of the unknown took over! What would be the repercussions of my thoughts if I spoke them out loud? Did I REALLY mean what I thought? Could I make it on my own, a single mom? What if he did not understand me and demanded a divorce immediately? What if we did get divorced and he met someone else and...

Relationship goals!

Relationship goals!

Our Saturday morning! It’s our every morning I think! Lol Living in 260 Sqft, we don’t have many places to set up office. So why not in bed!!! Lol I think it takes a special relationship to live in a small space AND be together just about 24/7! It’s not always peaches and cream around here however, it is quite often!! I asked Alex, what is something that has made our relationship successful? His answer: to listen without judgement and to appreciate each and every moment, no matter the moment. Ah yes! This is a good one! We are such judgmental creatures and this is surely one that can make or break a relationship. The juicy part of this is, any judgement made toward the other is just a reflection of the judges inner world. It’s a great way...

Meeting a nomadic free spirit

Meeting a nomadic free spirit

We covered many states this year, made new friends and saw lots of different landscapes.  Traveling in #Garytherv I have front row seating as the driver and get to see places, people, cars, truck, things first.  Seeing snow capped mountains in New Mexico while still in 80 degree weather, the Windmills that lasted forever in Texas, the Sequoia trees, the Grand Canyon just to name a few were amazing.  Excited to visit these places again! The people we met and the conversations we had with them are a big part of my memories. Looking forward to meeting more people when we get back on the road!   While in Arizona last month we stayed much longer than planned, so much to see and experience.  There was free camping throughout the state and many National parks for us to...

Day 3 at my parents house!

Day 3 at my parents house!

Day 3 at my parents. I do love getting up and walking across the driveway to my mom’s house to give her a big hug and kiss! Woke up about 10! Still on West coast time! Lol Finally saw my dad! He was in Pennsylvania for for a few weeks. Brought home some venison! Can’t wait to eat some. The Sandhill Cranes are plentiful here and noisy! Haha There were 2 in the driveway yelling down at the other set in another yard. They were not happy about their presence because they flew down to peck at them! Lol  I was also going to take my sweet Aunt Barb shopping however it is rainy and overcast. We will try again tomorrow! I’ve heard she likes to take her time shopping and even she told me, you don’t know what you are in for! LOL I love you Aunt...

What 52 days on the road has taught me!

What 52 days on the road has taught me!

WHOA day 52!!!! 52 days, 16 states, 8389 miles, countless memories made, met new friends, met up with old friends, new experiences, daily unknowns just about sums it up! lol I can not even begin to describe what these past 52 days have done for me. Through this journey, I have been able to break through my own limitations. I have experienced the possibilities I once thought were impossible. I highly recommend taking a trip like this, soon!! Everyone puts limitations on themselves one way or another in what they feel they can or can not accomplish. To break through this limitation one has to go towards the unknown, and DO IT daily!! I say the unknown because that is the place that is scary as shit sometimes,  however, it yields the highest level of growth. You...

Delusional Elvis fan!

Elvis has left the building! As we were recording Graceland last night we heard the honking of a horn… As some rumors go, Elvis could be in hiding all these years! That he faked his death. I for one believe he is long gone with only his beautiful music that has been left behind! Well, this one woman we happen to come across thought the latter, that he was alive and well, waiting for her visit. Did Elvis fake his death? Could he be hiding in Graceland or far away on some island in paradise!? Maybe she was never informed of his death? A little delusional? Or was she really just trying to get in after hours?! You DECIDE and let us know! Watch below to find out what happens!...

katzfamilylifeadventures  This is my collection of#coffeemugs! It is growing! Lol #morningcoffeewithKelly These past few days have been, lets say, a wee bit challenging between the 4 of us. It can be challenging to live with others!! Lol especially in 250 sqft! 4 different opinions, mindsets, struggles and wants!! Oh and lots of #shoulding at times! Hahaha Learning how to bring harmony to the group is important however sometimes harmony just doesn’t happen and that is reality! Lol I can either not accept the reality of the crapstorm that happens and feel like crap….or I can accept what is and still feel harmony and peace internally! Oh man is this challenging however it IS getting easier and easier to remain calm and composed in the crapstorm. How do...

I got a new #coffeemug!! Hand etched in Arizona! #oldtownmugcompany Such an interesting landmark! #CadillacRanch has been around forever and it was very cool to check it out! A good traveler has no fixed plans, and is not intent on arriving. #laotzu We have not had many plans the past 45+ days and it’s been amazing! To understand that nothing in this life is secure makes me want to really live the way I want and OUT LOUD!!! Through the hustle and bustle of life many forget that the time in this body is limited. It’s time to wake up and LIVE!! Oh and go put your mark on a caddy!!!!...

As millions of people rush out to go get the latest deal, I’m wondering around a field working on some inspiration for a picture. Being on the road for the past 40+ days has been an experience for sure! There’s been ups and downs and arguing and laughter. Overall, it’s been amazing and I am so freaking happy we made it happen. I saw this quote on a guys shirt last night and it said, “Why sleepwalk through life when you can Tango!” I thought, how true is this! We are doing the Tango! Do you hear the music? Get up and DANCE! DO that thing you have always wanted to do! Say the things you’ve always wanted to say! BE the person you’ve always wanted to BE! Go see the places you’ve always wanted to see!! The moment...
